DST represents the next evolution of Cometic’s proven Multi Layer Steel and MLX Stopper gasket designs, developed to meet the growing demands of modern high performance engines. Built for extreme cylinder pressures and aggressive power levels, DST is designed to deliver consistent and reliable sealing where conventional solutions can fall short.
At the core of the DST design is a dual integrated stopper system, featuring precision folded stainless steel stopper layers combined with Cometic’s embossed, proprietary coated sealing layers. This advanced construction creates a uniform and evenly distributed clamping force across both the cylinder head and engine block combustion seal. The result is improved load control, reduced bore distortion, and a significant increase in long term sealing stability under high boost and high temperature conditions.

Unlike traditional solutions that require additional head machining, grooving, or o ring modifications, DST gaskets are engineered as a true direct bolt on solution. This allows builders and engine shops to achieve race level sealing performance without added machine work, saving time while maintaining reliability. Whether used in forced induction street builds or extreme performance applications, DST delivers a precise, durable seal designed to withstand the harshest operating environments.
